Spotlight on Mike Stansfield
Mike Stansfield who won last month's business card draw, won an opportunity to enlighten us about the full extent of his High Street business. Mike shared some very important news about savings, mortgages and pensions, for young and old, and explained how recent changes may affect us in our retirement, and our retirement ages. For more information please phone Mike on 07970 319540 or EMail Mike hereSpotlight on EMailshot
On 6th December our breakfast network was hosted again by Juliet Palmer at the George. Twenty five businesses booked and we had another fascinating time, listening firstly to Helen Duncan of First Impression as she spoke about EMailshot, her targeted system of using email to reach the right people at the right time. Later Chris Parrack showed us how he is working to promote and educate businesses about Equality and Diversity in the workplace. This was all recorded by Dianne Boardman from the Review Newspaper, who is very interested in the story of how the network began, and will be featuring us in Glossop Review in January.
Mike Stansfield won the Business Card Draw, and an opportunity to enlighten us about the extent of his business after the SPEED NETWORKING at the January Breakfast meeting. The lucky winner always gets a chance to present their business in detail at the next meeting in the Spotlight.

First Impression's 10th Birthday Celebration
First Impression would like to thank members of the Glossop Business Network for their kind support at our open day celebrating our 10th birthday and to officially open our new offices on High Street West.
It was a good day for us; we were able to show samples of our work including email marketing, newsletters, brochures and leaflets as well as to enjoy the buffet provided by fellow Glossop Business Network members, Va Bene. It was also another good networking opportunity and it was useful to share marketing and business ideas, so I hope everyone enjoyed it.

News from our launch
On 7th June the first Glossop Business Network was a huge success. The atmosphere was really lively even at 7 a.m. as people poured into the George Hotel for an introduction to the art, science and pure fun of getting to know each other and promoting our services. Our hosts at the George joined us, as did the local newspapers, and as well as open networking there was a slot (for everyone who wanted to) to introduce themselves and say what it is that they are looking for in terms of customers and business. Long may it continue to generate more business opportunities in and around Glossop!
